On January 11, the 6th Forum of Belt and Road Initiative Legal Service was held at China National Institute for SCO International Exchange and Judicial Cooperation (CNISCO), Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL).

The forum brought together legal experts and scholars, senior lawyers and a group of professional elite in law field to discuss how to further strengthen the building of foreign-related rule of law and improve the level of international legal services in the process of jointly building the Belt and Road initiative.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Liu Xiaohong, President of the Belt and Road Legal Research Institute of Shanghai Law Society, Deputy Secretary of the CPC SHUPL Committee, President of SHUPL, and Prof. Shi Weidong, Deputy secretary of the CPC Shanghai Law Society Committee and full-time Vice President of Shanghai Law Society, delivered speeches respectively. 

During the keynote speech session, Prof. Huang Jin from China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Vice President of China Law Society, President of China Society of International Law, and Prof. Ding Wei, Former Director of the Commission of Legislative Affairs of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, conducted in-depth discussions on foreign-related legal issues of their respective concern.

In the future, the Forum of Belt and Road Initiative Legal Service will enhance the construction of the legal service system continuously, and provide a platform for common exchanges in the Belt and Road legal profession community.
