On June 15, the overseas lecture--“International Investment Treatment” was held online.The lecture was delivered by Krista Nadakavukaren Schfer, a professor of the Faculty of Law of the University of Basel,Deputy Director and Head of the legal Department of the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law.Wang Yao,Director of International Programs Administration,presided over the lecture.The students of SHUPL actively participated in the lecture.

In the lecture,Professor Krista Nadakavukaren Schefer discussed the trends and future development of international investment and arbitration.First of all, Professor Krista Nadakavukaren Schefer started with the concept of investment law and the way of dispute settlement, and introduced the topic.She then lectured on specific issues in international investment and demonstrated the role of the arbitraltribunal in dealing with specific claims in the form of a case study.Then, the many existing disputes and the thinking ofarbitral tribunals in deciding cases were presented.
