On March 14th, the opening ceremony of the 13th Moot Shanghai International Commercial Moot Arbitration Tribunal Competition, jointly organized by the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai Arbitration Commission, and Shanghai International Arbitration Center, was held at the Changning Campus of East China University of Political Science and Law. Liu Xiaohong, the President of SHUPL and Director of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission delivered a speech at the opening ceremony on behalf of SHUPL and the Shanghai Arbitration Commission.
Liu Xiaohong warmly welcomed the supporting institutions, arbitrators, and participating students, and expressed sincere gratitude to the legal colleagues who had always supported the Moot Shanghai International Commercial Moot Arbitration Tribunal competition. Liu Xiaohong stated that the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law has always adhered to the international education strategy and is committed to cultivating high-quality composite applied talents with a broad foundation, practical ability, innovative thinking, and global perspective. Currently, it has established friendly cooperation relationships with more than 100 universities and well-known international organizations around the world and has achieved development and progress in the cultivation of foreign-related rule of law talents.
It is believed that through the platform of the Moot Shanghai International Commercial Arbitration Court invitational tournament, Chinese and foreign young law students can strengthen communication and exchange, improve their legal literacy and arbitration application ability in competition, and become an effective force in the future to participate in the settlement of international commercial disputes and the construction of the rule of law.
Finally, Liu Xiaohong wished the 13th Moot Shanghai International Commercial Arbitration Court Competition a complete success.
